2020/2021 Online course selection

Online course selection for next year (2020/2021) is now open and closes Friday, March 6th. Students complete course selection online using myBluePrint. Once course selection is complete, print the Course Selection Sign-Off Sheet and parent/guardian needs to sign it. Please return the signed form to the period one teacher and pay the $55 Activity Fee on School Cash Online 

Guelph Gryphons grab Gilbert

smchs 021320bThe Guelph Gryphons announced a big addition to their football program Wednesday.

In front of a gathering of teammates, classmates, coaches and his parents at Saint Michael in Niagara Falls, 6-foot-3, 257-pound Carson Gilbert signed on the dotted line to pursue his post secondary football career with Guelph.

“I am so excited,” the Grade 12 student said. “There is no way to measure how excited I am.”

Gilbert, who played defensive tackle, defensive end, fullback and offensive tackle for the Mustangs this past season, realized university ball was a possibility for him last year.

“A couple of coaches came up to me and then I went to Guelph to see them play,” he said. “What a place it is. I loved it.”

He loves most everything about the program and Guelph.

Eccentrically macabre Addams Family comes to life at Saint Mike’s

Students learning roles ranging from sets and lighting to costumes in addition to acting in new production at Niagara Falls high school

smchs 120619The enduring charm of an eccentrically macabre family that’s had more lives than a cat for generations will be brought to life at Saint Michael Catholic High School in January, when the three-day run of the Addams Family — The Musical hits the Mustangs stage.

The cast and crew of the production at the Niagara Falls high school have been rehearsing every day — sometimes twice a day — after starting preparations for the lively musical comedy back in September, said student Emily Felstead, who, along with fellow student Alicia Reichenbach, plays an ancestor of the Addams family while also serving as co-stage managers.

Unlike many high school productions when students hold rehearsals after school and focus mostly on acting, the Saint Michael students have been working on the production during drama class and are taking on a vast number of roles necessary for a theatre show to become reality, said school drama teacher Roxanne Rees.
